Road Rage Crash in City Heights

Earlier this week there was a road rage-related crash in City Heights. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened near 39th Street and University Avenue. Very few details about this crash have been released, but we do know that a vehicle hit a tree and landed on a metal fence. Initial reports indicate that this crash began as a possible road rage incident.

The driver reported that when he tried to pass a slower moving car, that vehicle sped up and chased him for about a mile before clipping the rear end of his car. That caused him to lose control of his vehicle, which then hit a tree and the fence. That driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital for treatment. No information has been released on whether or not any citations or charges have been made.
