On Monday morning, there was a rollover crash in Otay Mesa near the U.S.-Mexico border. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened near Siempre Viva Road, just after 6:00 a.m. Very little information has been released about this apparent single-vehicle wreck, but we do know that the car crashed into a construction site and rolled over.
The vehicle came to rest on its roof, and the driver was trapped in the wreckage. First responders rushed to the scene, where the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life. That person was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on that person’s condition or on the cause of the crash, which could still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
