Over the weekend, there was a rollover crash on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened near Calle Real and Hope Avenue at about 3:00 a.m. on Sunday. Very few details about this rollover crash have been released, but we do know that a northbound SUV apparently left the roadway, missed a row of palm trees and hit an above ground electrical vault that controls the nearby intersection’s traffic signals.

First responders and crews rushed to the scene, where the driver had to be extricated from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life. That person was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on the cause of this crash, which could still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
