Over the Thanksgiving Holiday Maximum Enforcement Period, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers made 58 DUI arrests in San Diego County. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the Maximum Enforcement Period ran from Wednesday evening to Sunday morning. Last year, 66 people were arrested for impaired driving in San Diego County during the Thanksgiving holiday.

During the Maximum Enforcement Period, all available officers were deployed to roadways across the State of California. This year, there were 855 arrests for impaired driving during the holiday weekend statewide. That’s down from last year, when there were 965 arrests. This year, there were 44 traffic fatalities reported across the state, which is the same amount as last year.
