On Wednesday morning, a construction worker was killed on a job-site in East Village. According to NBC San Diego News Channel Seven, the incident happened at a job-site on 16th Street at about 9:00 a.m. Very few details about the incident have been released, but a column panel reportedly fell on the worker, a man whose name has not yet been released. Another employee was apparently getting ready to pour concrete before the column fell on him.

As a result of his injuries, the worker died on the scene. At this time, the fatal incident is under investigation with the state’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
