Santa Barbara Mountain Truck Crash

On Thursday night, a pickup truck crashed in the mountains above Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened at about 6:40 p.m. on East Camino Cielo, near Highway 154. For currently unknown reasons, the truck left the roadway and crashed into some trees. When first responders arrived, the truck was wedged against a tree about 10 feet from the roadway.

The driver apparently suffered from some kind of medical issue, although responders on the scene didn’t know whether the medical problem happened before or after the wreck. The male driver was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. No other injuries were reported with this crash.
