On Saturday night, there was a single-vehicle injury crash in Santa Maria. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened near the intersection of South Broadway and Jones Street at about 9:00 p.m. Very few details have been released about this apparent single-vehicle crash, but we do know that the vehicle ended up crashed against a pillar at the Santa Maria Car Wash.

First responders rushed to the scene, where the driver had to be extricated from the wreckage. That person had to be airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major injuries. There has been no update on that person’s current condition. Additionally, there has been no word on the cause of the crash, which is likely still under investigation with the Santa Maria Police Department.
