SDPD Officer Injured in Hit and Run Crash
Earlier this week, a San Diego Police Department (SDPD) officer was injured in a hit-and-run crash in the Grant Hill area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. on Monday evening at the intersection of 28th and K Streets. Apparently, the SDPD patrol vehicle was t-boned by a silver sedan that ran a red light.
The driver got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. Witnesses in the area chased after him, and a man believed to be the registered owner of the vehicle was arrested about a block away from the scene. The SDPD officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Thankfully, the injuries were not considered life threatening on the scene.
