Sometime after midnight on Tuesday, there was a semi-truck crash on Highway 101 in Montecito. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened near the San Ysidro Road off-ramp and North Jameson Lane. Very few details about this truck crash have been released, but we do know that a tractor-trailer overturned, and there was an additional collision involving another large truck and a sedan shortly after that. Initial reports indicate that a portion of the roadway had to be closed until about 7:00 a.m. the next morning.

Since one of the trucks was carrying about 11,000 pounds of food, cleanup and off-loading took crews hours to complete. No information has been released on whether or not anybody was injured in either of these crashes. At this time, these incidents are likely still under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
