Semi Truck Crash in National City

Earlier this week, there was a semi-truck crash in National City. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on Interstate 805 at about 4:50 a.m. on Monday morning. Initial reports indicate that the truck crash happened just north of Plaza Boulevard and left a fuel spill all over the roadway. Apparently, the tractor-trailer hydroplaned and then hit a minivan and the center divider.

The jackknifed truck was blocking two lanes of the highway when first responders arrived on the scene. A HAZMAT crew had to be called out for the fuel spill, and portions of the roadway were closed until about 9:30 a.m. At this time, there has been no word on whether or not anybody was injured in the wreck. This truck crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
