On Thursday morning, a semi truck overturned on State Route 94 in the Mt. Hope area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on the westbound connector to Interstate 805 south at about 11:00 a.m. Shortly after the 18-wheeler overturned, a pickup truck also crashed and overturned in the roadway. Although very few details about these wrecks have been released, we do know that the roads were wet following the rainy weather in the area.
Thankfully, no injuries were initially reported. The second driver in a pick-up truck reportedly hit a patch of mud that had been kicked to the road by the semi truck overturning. The pickup spun out of control and then overturned twice. These wrecks could still be under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
