A semi-truck jack-knifed across the Interstate 15 in Temecula, and crashed into several cars, causing major traffic for hours. The accident occurred Thursday morning around 11:00 a.m. Six vehicles were involved in the accident, and seven people were hospitalized. Reports alleged, the chain reaction crash was caused by a woman in a Nissan who rear-ended a Dodge Ram. The semi-truck behind the Nissan swerved across all of the lanes to try to avoid the accident and crashed into the guard rail. Per Patch News,  “The man driving an 18-wheeler was behind the Nissan and attempted to bring his rig to a stop when the vehicles collided, but he couldn’t and clipped the car, then veered across all traffic lanes, drove through a guardrail and partially plunged down an embankment at the Temecula River.”

Most lanes were closed for the investigation and two lanes were blocked from the trailer of the semi-truck.
