Semi Truck Fire in Lakeside

On Tuesday morning, a semi truck went up in flames in a Lakeside neighborhood. According to NBC San Diego Channel Seven News, the incident happened at about 10:42 a.m. in the 1700 block of Terrace Hill Drive. For currently unknown reasons, the large fifth-wheel tractor trailer caught fire in the residential area. First responders were initially called out due to complaints of smoke in the area.

Officials with the fire department and the police department were swiftly on the scene. Thankfully, they were able to extinguish the blaze by about 11:00 a.m. The truck was located right next to a home at the time of the fire. At this time, very few details have been released, and we don’t know the cause of the fire or if anybody was hurt.
