Earlier this week, a semi-truck caught fire on the State Route 52 connector with State Route 125. According to NBC San Diego News Channel Seven, the incident happened at about 3:00 a.m. Very few details were released, but we do know that the truck was headed to Yuma, Arizona from a nursery in Fallbrook. The truck driver did try to put the fire out with his extinguisher. Unfortunately, the extinguisher ran out, so he dialed 911 for help.

First responders were on the scene swiftly. Eastbound lanes of SR-52 had to be closed as crews and firefighters worked the scene. There has been no word on how the fire started. This incident could still be under investigation with authorities. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
