Semi Truck Hits Hydrant in La Jolla

On Monday morning, a semi truck slammed into a fire hydrant in La Jolla. According to NBC San Diego News Channel Seven, the incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. near the La Jolla Country Club on Country Club Drive. At this time, very few details about the collision have been released, but we do know that the crash sent a geyser into the air near the country club and surrounding residential area.

We don’t know how or why the large truck slammed into the hydrant. Crews from San Diego City Water had to move into action swiftly to cut off the water, so the hydrant could be repaired. There’s no word on whether or not anybody was injured during this incident. This crash could still be under investigation with authorities.
