In the early morning hours on Wednesday, a semi truck crashed into the back of a van that was disabled on I-805. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened sometime before 3:00 a.m., near Nobel Drive. Very few details about this crash have been released, but we do know that the tractor-trailer rolled down a ditch beside the roadway after the collision.

Initial reports indicate that the van had a blowout on the front right tire. The front axle was damaged, and the vehicle came to a complete stop in the slow lane. Two people got out of the van, and had to jump out of the way to avoid getting hit by the oncoming big rig. The truck driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. No other injuries were reported on the scene.
