On Friday, a man was killed and his daughter was injured after crashing his vehicle into a semi-truck in San Jose. According to ABC 7 News, “At about 7:40 a.m., police received a call about a collision at Park Avenue and McEvoy Street.” When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found the driver dead and his daughter was rushed to the hospital. The big-rig driver was turning left on McEvoy Street when the man in the car was driving east and slammed directly into the semi-truck. Tragically, the daughter saw her father die in the car. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers send our deepest condolences to the family and wish the daughter a speedy recovery.
Unfortunately, accidents like these happen more often than not. Due to the sheer size and weight of tractor-trailer trucks, most collisions with smaller vehicles result in serious injuries or fatalities. These trucks are insured by commercial policies and require a different legal approach than you would use on a typical auto accident. Our team of experienced trial lawyers will work quickly to preserve evidence, gather witness statements and protect your rights. At Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, you will be able to get the compensation you deserve.
