On Monday morning, a semi truck overturned on a roadway in Ramona. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on State Route 78 at Ramona Trails Drive at about 8:20 a.m. Very few details about this big rig crash have been released, but we do know that the truck was hauling chicken feed at the time of the wreck. Cal Fire was called to the scene, since an estimated 10-15 gallons of hydraulic oil leaked onto the roadway.
A portion of the highway was closed for about two hours as crews and first responders worked the scene. At least one person was hospitalized. There has been no word on that person’s condition or the extent of injuries involved. This truck crash could still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
