A Ralph’s semi-truck crashed on the Interstate 15 in Mission Valley near Qualcomm Stadium early Thursday evening. The truck spilled over 50 gallons of fuel onto the freeway after the big rig lost control and crashed into the center divider. When the semi-truck lost control and hit the median, the impact tore off the truck’s two fuel tanks. CHP officers said most of that fuel was washed away by the rain, and they are using buckets to drain the rest from the tank, NBC San Diego.

The driver is expected to be okay, and thankfully there weren’t any other vehicles involved in this incident. The crash caused a major slowdown as the emergency crews had to clean up the fuel on the freeway.
