A man was sleeping in an embankment off of the Interstate 8, when a 24-year-old lost control of his car and hit him early Saturday morning. The CHP stated that the car exited the freeway and crashed down the embankment, ultimately, crashing into the sleeping man. The reasons for the crash are undetermined, however, alcohol and drugs were ruled out in this incident. NBC San Diego stated, “Two people helped the driver out of his car after the collision, and were able to flag down a passing San Diego Police Officer on West Point Loma Boulevard.” The man who was killed was identified as Bernard Alan Scott. The driver suffered injuries and was taken to UCSB Medical Center.
