SUV Hits Oak Park Apartment Building

On Tuesday afternoon, an SUV drove into an apartment building in Oak Park. According to ABC News Channel 10, the incident happened sometime around 2:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of Pentecost Way. Significant damage was done to the structure, but thankfully no injuries were immediately reported. At least two residents were displaced due to the damage though.

At this time, there has been no word on why the driver, a retirement-age woman, lost control of her vehicle and drove into the apartment building. Officials with the American Red Cross were on the scene to assist in securing temporary shelter for the family that was displaced due to the property damage.
