Over the weekend, a teen cyclist was struck and injured in Clairemont. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at the Clairemonte Mesa Boulevard on-ramp to the 805-N freeway just before 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night. Very few details about this collision have been released, but we do know that the driver involved stayed on the scene. Initial reports indicate that the driver may not have seen the teen until it was too late.

A passenger from the vehicle performed CPR on the injured teen cyclist while waiting for paramedics to arrive. The teen was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. There has been no word on that person’s current condition or on the full extent of injuries involved.
