Teen Cyclist Injured in Lompoc Crash

Last week, a 14-year-old on a bicycle was injured in a crash in Lompoc. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened on the 200 block of West North Avenue. Very few details about this car-versus-bicycle crash have been released, but we do know that the incident happened at about 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Initial reports indicate that the teen tried to leave the scene of the crash. He was located about a block away.

First responders rushed to the scene, and the injured teen had to be airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. No information has been released on his current condition or on the full extent of injuries involved. Additionally, there has been no word on whether or not the driver is facing any citations or charges. This crash may still be under investigation.
