Teen Injured by Hit and Run Driver
Earlier this week, a hit-and-run driver in the eastern San Diego County area injured a 19-year-old woman. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the collision happened on Wednesday morning on South Grade Road, near Manzanita View Road, in Alpine. Initial reports indicate that the driver struck the pedestrian and then just kept going. The driver reportedly fled southbound.
First responders rushed to the scene, and the teen had to be airlifted to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of severe injuries. At this time, no description of the vehicle has been released, and this crash is still under investigation with the California Highway Patrol. Anybody with information about this crash is being asked to come forward.
