Late Tuesday night, a teen with a provisional license was caught going 126 miles per hour on Highway 101. According to KSYB News Channel Six, the incident happened in Carpinteria. Very little information about this incident has been released, but we do know that the 16-year-old driver was pulled over in the northbound lanes of Highway 101, just south of Bailard Avenue, sometime after midnight.

Initial reports indicate that she was driving nearly twice the speed limit, and she was cited for driving 126 miles per hour in an Audi TT. She was also cited for disobeying the terms of her provisional license. Her sister was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident. They were both released to their parents.
