Tesla Crash With CHP Vehicle on SR 56

Over the weekend, there was a crash involving a Tesla and an unoccupied California Highway Patrol (CHP) car. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at about 3:00 a.m. on Saturday morning on State Route 56. Initial reports indicate that a white Tesla went through a freeway closure and rear ended the CHP vehicle.

Thankfully, nobody was in that vehicle at the time of the crash. The Tesla driver, a 29-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. A female passenger in the Tesla was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, but there has been no word on her current condition.
