Yet again, the infamous Cholame ‘Y” on Highway 41 is another accident scene. Two people were injured Monday morning in an accident in this area. According to the San Luis Obispo Tribune, A 60-year-old Arroyo Grande woman was driving a 2003 Ford Focus south on Highway 41 when she drove through the loose gravel and started swerving. She then tried to regain control of her vehicle and crashed into and onward coming to Chevrolet Traverse. The driver was a 55-year-old man from Cayucos. He avoided the head-on collision and swerved out of the way. Their cars collided and the impact forced the Ford Focus down an embankment. The drivers escaped death and walked away with minor injuries.
