Last Monday morning, at least five people were injured in a three-car crash on Highway 101. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened at about 8:20 a.m.  La Cumbre Road on-ramp. Although very few details about this crash have been released, we do know that the collision had traffic backed up and a portion of the roadway was blocked.

First responders with the Santa Barbara City Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol rushed to the scene. Of the five people injured, four of them reportedly suffered from moderate injuries. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment, and crews worked the scene to get morning commuters on their way. There has been no word on the cause of the crash or if any citations have been issued.
