Toddler Injured in Vista Collision

On Monday, a three-year-old girl from Escondido was injured after a double-collision in Vista. ABC News Channel 10 reports that the incident happened at the intersection of Avocado and Hannalei Drives, which has a reputation for being dangerous. The little girl was rushed to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment of major injuries to her face. Her seven-year-old sister was also injured.

Apparently, the girls were in a Ford Expedition with their mother when a Jeep struck the vehicle on its right side. It’s still unclear exactly how this happened, but police officers didn’t suspect drugs or alcohol to be factors. This crash is still under investigation with law enforcement.
