Tour Bus Crash Injures San Diego Musician Veteran

A musician and Marine Corps veteran from San Diego was seriously injured in a tour bus crash in Missouri in August. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, Travis Wheeler was on tour with his band Sleep Signals, when their tour bus was rear-ended by a semi truck on the highway.

Wheeler, as well as his other bandmates, were asleep during the overnight crash. Wheeler suffered the most severe injuries during the wreck, and had to have part of his right foot and several toes on his left foot amputated. He also sustained injuries to his arms, wrists and right hand. He is currently completing physical therapy in the hospital and hopes to get back to San Diego soon. No information has been released on what kind of citations the truck driver is facing in this case.
