Local law enforcement authorities and the family of the man who was critically injured by a hit-and-run driver in Santa Barbara last week are calling on the public’s help in identifying and tracking down the driver. The incident happened on Friday near the waterfront on West Cabrillo Boulevard. A vehicle struck 23-year-old Drew Christopher Daly and fled the scene.

According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, first responders found Daly lying face down in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in critical condition and suffered from a severe brain injury. At this time, investigators are looking for a light-colored small-to-medium sized SUV with possible front-end, headlight and windshield damage. Anybody with information is being asked to contact the Santa Barbara Police Department.
