Truck Crash on Highway 101

On Monday afternoon, a crash involving an 18-wheeler with two trailers happened on Highway 101. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened near the Highway 1 intersection and had portions of the roadway closed for nearly four hours. Apparently, the driver of an Audi lost control of his or her car and collided with the left rear tire of the semi truck.

The truck driver then lost control of the rig and caused a load of gravel from two trailers to be spilled across the roadway. A tow truck driver arriving on the scene also lost control of that vehicle and collided with two other cars. Thankfully, no injuries were immediately reported in either of these collisions. These crashes are likely both still under investigation with law enforcement authorities.
