Around 8:00 p.m. today, a truck plowed through a Christmas market in West Berlin, killing nine people and injuring around fifty people. The truck sped through the market at 40 miles per hour. There were no signs of slowing as the truck drove through the market. This incident occurred in Breitscheidplatz, Berlin near the Church of Resemblance. This market is one of Berlin’s biggest markets, with a big pedestrian area filled with people shopping. The number of injured people has yet to be confirmed. Police and officials are treating this incident as an act of terror and are investigating this further.
