Two Boys Airlifted to Hospital after Being Run over at Car Wash

Very few details have been released about an incident that sent two boys to the hospital Tuesday night, September 24th. KEYT News Channel Three reports that two boys were run over at a car wash at the intersection of Chapel Street and Miller Street. Police officers with the Santa Maria Police Department said that the incident happened just before 8:00 p.m.

Both victims were airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital immediately. KEYT reports that the car’s tires went over the boys’ legs. No information has been released about their specific injuries, their identities or their ages. KEYT does report that the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Since no information has been released about who was driving the automobile, this incident is likely still under investigation.
