Two Car Crash on Highway 101

Last week, there was a two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Los Alamos. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened in the southbound lanes near Cat Canyon. Very few details have been released about this wreck, but we do know that a white van and a red truck were involved. For currently unknown reasons, a woman driving the truck lost control of her vehicle. She overcorrected and then clipped a van and left the roadway.

The truck hit a callbox and rolled before coming to a rest beside the highway. First responders rushed to the scene, where the driver had to be extricated from the wrecked vehicle. The driver of the van was able to stop their vehicle in the center divider. This crash could still be under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
