On Tuesday morning, two people were badly injured after running across the street to regain safety after getting into a fender bender. Two people were traveling in a Honda Accord when they hit a Toyota Sienna from behind. The Honda driver and passenger decided to run over the median to the other side of the Interstate 680 to seek safety. When doing so, they were hit by a Honda Sonata with great force. The East Bay Times stated, “They made it across one lane before a maroon Honda Sonata hit them in the second lane farthest to the left. Both were hit with such force that they landed on the right shoulder of the northbound direction.” They were then rushed to the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, CA. This incident caused a great amount of traffic on the I-680.
