Two teenage girls were injured in a two-car crash in Rancho Bernardo on Tuesday evening. Per local news reports by ABC Ten News, a Kia Spectra was traveling southbound on Cresta Drive when it stopped at a stop sign at Rancho Bernardo Road. The Kia proceeded just as a Ford F-150, traveling eastbound on Rancho Bernardo Road, approached the intersection and the Ford struck the Kia on the passenger side. Two passengers on the impacted side were taken to the hospital with fractures. One passenger needed leg surgery and the other sustained a fractures hip. The driver of the Ford pickup was not injured, neither was the driver of the Kia.
