A 27-year-old woman was arrested yesterday for driving under the influence and causing the death of two people in a head-on car crash. The accident occurred, “Shortly after 1 p.m. in the 28000 block of Lilac Road in Valley Center, a Ford Explorer Sport Trac crossed over the double yellow center line and collided head-on with a black Mercedes E300 sedan”, according to Fox Five San Diego.

The woman hit an elderly couple (in a Mercedes) head-on from Valley Center. The couple in the Mercedes were confirmed dead at the scene. The alleged DUI driver was severely injured as well and taken to Palomar Hospital.
