Vehicle Fire and Crash on I-8

Earlier this week, there was a multi-vehicle crash on an Interstate 8 connector ramp. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on Tuesday morning on the connector ramp to southbound State Route 163 in Mission Valley. Initial reports indicate that there was a Ford F150 pickup truck, a Honda sedan, and possibly another vehicle involved.

The truck was fully engulfed in flames when first responders arrived on the scene. An ambulance was called out, but there has been no word on the number of people injured or the extent of injuries involved. A portion of the roadway was closed for nearly an hour as crews worked the scene. The cause of this multi-vehicle crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
