On Sunday morning, a vehicle slammed into a fire hydrant in National City. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on the 200 block of Palm Avenue at about 3:00 a.m. Very little information has been released about this crash, but we do know that water was sent spewing into the air until crews arrived on the scene.

No information has been released on the cause of the crash, but initial reports indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle when it struck the fire hydrant. There has been no word on whether or not any citations or charges have been released, but the driver was reportedly taken away in handcuffs.
