A man was sitting at a bus stop bench in Chula Vista when he was struck by a drunk driver in Chula Vista. The man was rushed to the hospital where he later passed away. The driver was apparently at a bar prior to the incident. The man left the bar and witnesses saw him cause smaller collisions in the parking lot. According to NBC San Diego, “When someone confronted the driver about the smaller collisions, the man sped off at a high rate of speed.”

The driver was speeding and driving recklessly when he jumped the curb and hit the man sitting at the bench. This is the fourth DUI charge for the driver. Although, he is now in San Diego County Jail for murder, manslaughter and driving under the influence. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the man at the bus stop.
