Earlier this week, a woman was hospitalized after a scooter crash in San Diego. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Pacific Highway, just south of Witherby Street and Interstate Five, at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday night. Very few details about this incident have been released, but initial reports indicate that the rider may have been looking at her cell phone’s GPS map at the time of the crash. She apparently lost control of the scooter and crashed.

The injured scooter rider was transported to the hospital for treatment of a fractured femur. Thankfully, her injuries were not thought to be life threatening on the scene. There has been no word on her current condition or on the full extent of her injuries.
