A woman was killed by a big rig when it crashed into the back of the vehicle. There were two vehicles stopped in the slow lane at a light when the big rig failed to slow and drove straight into the back of the women’s Chevrolet Cruz. “The impact caused the front passenger side of the Chevrolet to crash into the back of a Ford F-150 in front of him. The Chevrolet was then forced into the fast lane,” KSBY News. The big rig proceeded to hit the F-150 and push it off the road. The passenger in the Chevrolet Cruz, Bernadette Ettcheverry, was pronounced dead due to the impact. “The cause of the crash is under investigation, but CHP tells KSBY the driver of the box truck was evaluated at the scene and was determined to not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.” The authorities are investigating the crash further to determine if here was any type of distracted driving involved. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, send our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Bernadette.
