On Tuesday evening, an elderly woman was struck and killed by a motorcycle in Mira Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened near the intersection of Mira Mesa Boulevard and Camino Ruiz at about 8:20 p.m. Very few details about this incident have been released, but we do know that an 83-year-old woman was struck by a motorcycle when she was walking across the road.

Initial reports indicate that the motorcycle rider was also injured in the crash. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The elderly woman was reportedly not in the crosswalk at the time of the collision. No information has been released on whether or not any citations or charges have been made. This incident could still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
