Wrong Way Injury Crash in Oceanside

On Thursday, a wrong-way crash in Oceanside sent two people to the hospital. According to ABC News Channel 10, the incident happened on State Route 78 near College Avenue, sometime after 3:00 a.m. Both of the drivers had to be airlifted to area hospitals for treatment of major injuries.

No information has been released on why the driver was going the wrong way. The wreck left debris scattered across 400 feet of the roadway. Eastbound portions of the highway had to be closed as first responders and crews worked the scene. There has been no word on either driver’s current condition or whether or not any charges have been filed. This crash might still be under investigation with law enforcement authorities.
