Motorcyclist Injured on Dye Road

This week, a motorcyclist was seriously injured while trying to pass a vehicle on Dye Road. According to NBC San Diego Channel Seven News, the incident happened at about 12:55 p.m. on Dye Road near the intersection of Duraznitos Road. Initial reports indicate that the motorcycle rider attempted to pass the car on the left, as the car was slowing down to make a left-hand turn. The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and landed in the dirt shoulder beside the roadway.

First responders rushed to the scene, where they found the motorcyclist suffering from life-threatening injuries. That person was airlifted to Palomar Hospital for treatment. The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were also injured in the crash and transported to a local hospital. The cause of this crash is still under investigation with law enforcement officials.
