On Wednesday morning in South Los Angeles, a bicyclist was struck and killed by a car involved in a police chase. Around 6:00 am, police received a call about a theft from a vehicle, with the victim of the theft apparently following the suspect. According to ABC 7, officers tried to pull over the suspect but were unsuccessful, leading to a chase through several streets near 48th Street and Central Avenue. 

The suspect hit the bicyclist near 46th Street and Hooper Avenue but kept driving, hitting eight other vehicles before eventually crashing upside down. No one in those eight vehicles suffered serious injuries. The suspect attempted to flee but was arrested at the scene. At the time of the report, the incident remained under investigation.
