Last week, a cyclist was injured when he was struck head-on by a vehicle in San Ysidro. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon on the 200 block of Willow Road. Initial reports indicate that a 30-year-old man was riding a mountain bike, when a northbound 1996 Honda Accord struck the cyclist head on.   

First responders rushed to the scene, and the bicyclist had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment of various injuries. He reportedly suffered from a fractured femur, a fractured hand, a face laceration, a concussion and had two teeth knocked out. No other injuries were reported, and this crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement agencies.
