Earlier this week, there was an overturned tractor-trailer in Sun Valley. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened on Tuesday morning, sometime before 4:00 a.m. Initial reports indicate that the semi truck overturned after the driver was apparently trying to swerve past a stalled car on the 5 Freeway.   

The semi truck came to rest in several lanes of the freeway. The driver was reportedly transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. An additional vehicle was also damaged in the crash. All northbound lanes of traffic had to be closed as crews and first responders worked the scene. As of 8:00 a.m., the tractor-trailer had been moved to the shoulder, but there were still at least two lanes blocked.
