On Tuesday morning, a man was hospitalized after his car was hit and sent into a canal by a semi-truck in Fresno County. According to ABC 30, the incident occurred around 6:30 am at the intersection of Dickenson and North Avenues. A man was driving a grey Nissan northbound on Dickenson when another man driving a semi-truck on North failed to stop at a stop sign. The two crashed into each other, sending the Nissan into a nearby canal. The driver of the semi-truck freed the man from the submerged car.  

The Nissan driver sustained major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The truck driver was not injured. At the time of the report, neither drugs nor alcohol were thought to be factors in the crash.
